# Meta Horizon Setup
Deploy Vrex apps via Meta Work Account (Horizon)
Use Meta's Horizon platform (formerly Work Meta) to distribute Vrex to your managed Quest headsets.

## Overview

Meta Horizon Managed Devices lets you:

- Deploy Vrex Go to your device fleet
- Control which apps are available on managed headsets
- Separate beta and production versions
- Manage devices remotely

## Prerequisites

- Admin access to your Meta Work Account
- Managed Quest headsets enrolled in your organization
- Vrex Go package URL (provided by your Vrex Customer Success Manager)

## Deploy Vrex Go

### Step 1: Access App Management

1. Log in to [work.meta.com](https://work.meta.com)
2. Navigate to **Apps & Content** → **Manage apps**
3. Click **+ Add app**

### Step 2: Add Externally Hosted App

1. Select **Externally hosted**
2. Paste the Vrex Go package URL provided by your CSM
3. Enter app details:
   - **Name:** Vrex Go
   - **Description:** Collaborative 3D model viewer
4. Upload an app icon (optional but recommended)

### Step 3: Configure Distribution

1. Select the **device groups** that should receive the app
2. Choose installation behavior:
   - **Auto-install** - App appears automatically on devices
   - **Available** - Users can install from the store
3. Save your configuration

### Step 4: Verify Deployment

1. Turn on a managed Quest headset
2. Check the app library for **Vrex Go**
3. Launch the app and verify login works

## Best Practices

### Separate Beta and Production

If you're testing new Vrex versions:

1. Create a separate app entry for beta builds
2. Use a different icon (e.g., orange for beta, green for production)
3. Distribute beta to a test device group only

### Device Groups

Organize headsets by:

- Department or team
- Office location
- Use case (training, design review, client demos)

This lets you roll out updates gradually and target specific users.

## Network Considerations

Managed devices still need network access to Vrex services. See [Network Requirements](/v2/it-networking/requirements/) for firewall configuration.

## Troubleshooting

| Issue | Solution |
|-------|----------|
| App doesn't appear | Check device is in the correct group |
| "Not authorized" | Verify the package URL is correct |
| Can't log in | Check network connectivity to auth servers |
| App crashes | Collect logs and contact support |
